Transportation

Sioux Falls TrolleyLocated at the intersection of Interstates 29 and 90, Sioux Falls is a significant destination for business and recreational travel. Interstate 229 bypasses the business district, allowing commuters an easy route to their destination. On its public transit system, the city has accommodations for the disabled and elderly. A free trolley allows area residents and visitors to experience downtown Sioux Falls and Falls Park year-round.

With expanding facilities and services, Sioux Falls has become a hub for regional air transportation. Sioux Falls Regional Airport (FSD) is amply served by Northwest Airlines and Northwest Airlink, Delta Connection, United Express and Allegiant Air, offering connections to more than 200 domestic cities as well as many international destinations.

South Dakota residents are required by law to carry auto liability insurance and all motorists must use seat belts.
